The Printech Engineering story started in 1981, when Thomas (Tommy) van den Oever realised that South Africa's wildly fluctuating currency was causing untold difficulties for local printers importing equipment from Europe.

"The last five years have seen tremendous growth in sales of postpress and finishing equipment", Thommy explains.

Already offering globally-recognised equipment from a number of German principals, tommy and Graham describe the new partnership with BAUMANN and WOHLENBERG as "a natural choice".

In 2010, Ferrostaal Australia installed a central jogging tation at Whirlwind Print, Melbourne, a privately owned and family run business, which was founded in 1996 and now employs a staff of 151 people.

New automatic jogger

Since 1978 when the company launched its first automatic jogger hundreds of Baumann joggers have been manufactured for companies all over the world. Now BAUMANN has designed a new automatic jogger, the BSB 3 L "Professional", which is able to jog even "difficult" materials, such as metallic paper, pharmaceutical package inserts or labels, much easier and thus quicker than conventional joggers.
